Japan’s world-renowned tying scissors, Kava, have been re-released with minor updates as the Kava II.

Mizutani Scissors Manufacturing Co. has been producing professional scissors for barbers and hairstylists for over 90 years since 1921.

In response to feedback that the original blades were too sharp, the Kava II features a redesigned blade profile that balances durability with precision.

A flatter, low-profile screw is used to reduce interference during use.

Rare metals such as molybdenum, vanadium, and cobalt are generously incorporated to ensure exceptional durability.

While retaining the original handle shape, unnecessary cutouts and processing have been reduced, resulting in a slimmer, more comfortable grip.

When the cutting edge becomes dull, the scissors can be resharpened.
